Limitation of feed-in/purchase power
An optional limitation of the feed-in/purchase power is only implemented in the MDC host inverter and applies to the entire PV system with all inverters.
The settings are made under the menu item General > Grid connection.
Feed-in power limitation: Set the limitation for the grid connection point here. This can be, for example, 60% of the total installed PV power in the system network.
Example: Total installed PV power 20,000 Wp = 60% max. 12,000 W feed-in power
The active power is dynamically limited, taking into account the house consumption.
Limit on the supply power: Set the limit for the supply power for the grid connection point here. This should not be higher than the maximum load of the circuit breakers in the meter cabinet.
Example: 230 V x 35 A = 8050 W x 3 phases = 24150 W
If the configured power consumption is exceeded, the inverter reduces the power of the controllable devices (e.g. charging a battery from the grid).
However, non-controllable consumers in the household cannot be regulated by the inverter. Therefore, the power limit should not be set too high so that the circuit breaker of the house network does not trip.
