Create access token

As of KOSTAL Solar App version

it is possible to access the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter via the KOSTAL Solar App without having to repeatedly enter the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter password.

To facilitate this, an additional method of authentication (via access tokens) has been integrated into the KOSTAL Solar App and the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter. In future, this method will mean that there is no longer any need to repeatedly enter the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter password.

An access token for the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter is created via the device settings in the selected PV system.

  1. Open the KOSTAL Solar App. This usually starts along with your default PV system.

 

  1. Go to Settings (1) and select Device configuration (2).
  2. Under the active KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter (3), select the gear symbol (4) for editing. Confirm the editing (5) by selecting Edit.
  3. There should be No access token (6).

 

  1. Click on Create (7) to create an access token for the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.
  2. Click on Check (8).
  3. The access token must then be created in the KSEM. To do this, press Open (9).

    Have your KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter password ready to access the web interface of the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.

  5. Log on to the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter at (10).
  7. After logging in, you still need to confirm the access token. To do this, press the key (11) next to Action and confirm the action (12).
  8. The access token is now confirmed (13) and ready for use.
  9. Close the window.
  10. Save the access token.
  1. From now on, the KOSTAL Solar App will use the access token (14) to log in to the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.

Any number of access tokens can be generated. Each installed app version requires its own access token. For example, if you have one mobile phone and one tablet, you must perform this procedure separately for each device.

Once created, access tokens can be deleted or revoked at any time in the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.

The KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter can now be called up in the local network via Recent data (15) or via the Wallbox icon (only if an ENECTOR with convenience function is installed) on the homepage (15), without having to repeatedly enter the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter password. This enables local system visualisation with current live data.
