Configuring settling time
For the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter to achieve rapid control with a set feed-in limitation (power limitation) or zero feed-in, the settling time must be configured in the KOSTAL inverters.
This configuration is undertaken as follows:
INFO

The setting is only needed when using two or more KOSTAL solar inverters and can only be configured by installers using the personal service code.
- For PLENTICORE or PIKO IQ via the Webserver
PLENTICORE G1: Service menu > Settling time
PLENTICORE G2/G3: Service > Grid parameterisation > Settling time
To do this, proceed as follows:
- In the Webserver, go to Settling time.
- Set the settling time to 1s.
- For external control of active power, select Power gradient under Mode.
- In the Specifications with high priority by grid safety management, enter the value 250 W/s.
- In the specifications for Local specifications with lower priority, enter the value 1000 W/s.
- Save the settings.
- The settling time has been set.
- For PIKO 4.2-20 (FW >= 05.00) / PIKO EPC, using the PARAKO user software
INFO

More information about the PARAKO parameterisation software for PIKO inverters can be found on our homepage in the download area for your product under operating manual applications.
Communication between inverter and KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter must be disconnected while the software is being used.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- In the PARAKO application, call up the settling time by going to Change settings > Power limitation and reactive power feed-in > Settling time (external control).
- Set the settling time to 1s.
- For external control of active power, select Power gradient under Mode.
- In the specifications for high priority, enter the value 250 W/s.
- In the specifications for low priority, enter the value 1000 W/s.
- Save the settings.
- The settling time has been set.
- For PIKO CI
No settings need to be configured for the PIKO CI.
