Settings for plant overview

This item can be used as an option to define a feed-in limit for the entire system metered by the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter when using a multiple-inverter connection.

Parameter

Explanation

Activate power limitation

Here, a set power limitation for an entire system can be activated or deactivated.

Control algorithm used

The control algorithm used can be selected here.

First generation cluster control
Here, the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter is responsible for controlling the feed-in limitation at the grid connection point. The charge/discharge control of the house battery is handled by the storage/hybrid inverter with connected battery.

Feed-in capacity limit

The maximum amount which may be fed in by the entire system is entered in the input box. For a simpler calculation, the feed-in capacity limit calculator can be used.

The power limitation monitors the feed-in of the entire system. If the value set for the feed-in limit is exceeded, the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter calculates the amount by which each connected inverter needs to reduce its output to avoid exceeding the feed-in limit. The basis for calculating by how much each individual inverter needs to reduce its power is the value Max. AC output power of inverter, which has been set for the respective inverter.

NOTE! For power limitation with several inverters, each connected KOSTAL inverter must be added in the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter. Third-party inverters or non-selectable devices cannot be controlled via the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.
