Battery settings
If a battery is connected to the inverter, the behaviour and usage of the battery can be configured here.
If the inverter has been configured as an MDC client, only the battery charge status can be configured on the MDC client inverter. All other battery control settings are configured on the MDC host inverter.

Battery type | Displays the connected battery. The battery type is identified automatically. |
Battery control | The battery can be controlled via an external battery management system (e.g. energy supplier). In this case, the battery’s charging and discharging power is controlled by the external provider. The system operator then receives remuneration from the external provider for the energy supplied, for example. External battery control Internal (default): External control is deactivated. External via digital I/O: External battery management is carried out via the digital inputs on the inverter’s Smart Communication Board (terminal X401). A preset can be selected, or the digital inputs can be configured according to the provider’s specifications. Externally via Modbus (TCP): External battery management is carried out via the Modbus RTU protocol. The control signals are received via the LAN interface. If the control signals are not received for the set duration, the system switches to internal control. Reading the device status via Modbus (TCP) / SunSpec remains possible in parallel. Additionally, set the timeout period for external battery control. If the signals via Modbus are interrupted or fail to arrive, the system will switch to internal control once the timeout period has elapsed. Multi Device Control (MDC): If the inverter is configured as an MDC inverter, external control via Multi Device Control is already preselected and cannot be changed. |
