Connecting the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter

Connecting an KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter enables generation values and consumption values to be recorded and also allows the output power of the inverter to be controlled in the public grid. In addition, the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter can send data to the KOSTAL Solar Portal. To do this, the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter must be set up in the same system in the KOSTAL Solar Portal in addition to the PIKO CI.

The energy meter is installed in the meter cabinet or in the main distribution board. Please also refer to the operating documentation for the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter.

INFO

Info

If a KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter is installed in the home network and a power limit is set, the active power is dynamically limited taking into account the home consumption. This means that in addition to the set power limitation (e.g. from a ripple control receiver), the home consumption is added up to the maximum power limit of the inverter.
